On the initiative of Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo, the watchmaker has announced the first “Vacheron Constantin Concours d’Elégance Horlogère”, an event highlighting both historical and contemporary timepieces created by the Geneva-based Manufacture.
Celebrating the art of fine watchmaking in all its forms, the competition is open to owners of Vacheron Constantin pocket watches and wristwatches launched between 1755 and 1999. Quartz watches, clocks and pieces that have undergone major modifications are excluded.
Eligible timepieces will be evaluated according to nine criteria: authenticity, elegance, rarity, impact on the history of Vacheron Constantin and/or on watchmaking in general, provenance, technicity, métiers d’art (artistic crafts), state of preservation and emotional dimension. Each watch will only be allowed to compete in one of the seven categories in this edition, chosen by the owner: Striking Mechanism, Chronographs, Astronomical Complications, Multiple Complications, Chronomètre Royal, Métiers d’Art and Design.
The winners will be announced on 10 November 2026 by an international jury of experts, co-chaired by Aurel Bacs, Senior Consultant at Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo, and Christian Selmoni, Style & Heritage Director at Vacheron Constantin. Entries are open until 30 April at the following address www.vacheron-constantin.com or in the brand’s boutiques.
