In 2015, in the heart of the Jura mountains, Initium was born with a sole ambition: to share its passion and watchmaking expertise through memorable experiences in which everyone can express their personality by creating a unique object reflecting their true selves.
From Le Noirmont to Geneva and then Paris; from watchmaking to jewellery and now onto knife-making, Initium has steadily grown and evolved. To celebrate this decade of expertise and passion, the company has launched a trio of new products, including its very first range of Swiss-made, ready-to-wear watches. Customers can choose from three collections named Noirmont, Genève and Neuchâtel, respectively equipped with hand-wound, self-winding and tourbillon movements. Each timepiece is hand-assembled, thereby guaranteeing impeccable quality and respect for watchmaking traditions. And for those who wish to leave immediately with a one-of-a-kind timepiece, Initium also offers nine signature models, ready for participants to take away with them.
For the second part of its trilogy, Initium has unveiled the new Creative Lab in the heart of Geneva, which is intended to complement the existing boutique dedicated to watchmaking, jewellery and knife-making courses. This atelier is not confined to training but also represents a veritable field of exploration, where passion meets personalisation. The workshop-boutique offers a wide selection of components for hand-wound and self-winding watches. More than a million combinations are possible to bring one’s very own timepiece to life. Once the selection is finalised, an in-house watchmaker assembles the watch, which can be picked up at the boutique or sent home.
To conclude this anniversary trilogy, Initium is launching its first jewellery workshops dedicated to weddings. The “Wedding Rings” and “Engagement Ring – the Solitaire” courses allow couples to enjoy an intimate and deeply symbolic experience: personally working together with a master jeweller to create the jewellery that will mark their commitment. Initium is the first concept in Switzerland to offer this type of wedding workshop, combining precious materials, high-quality craftsmanship and emotional sharing. The first courses will start this summer, in the Geneva and Le Noirmont workshops only.
