A loyal fan of alpine sports, Longines officialised the launch of the 2024/2025 International Ski Federation (FIS) World Cup in Sölden this October. As partner and official timekeeper, the watchmaker was present on the slopes to follow the performances of the leading athletes.
To mark this new season, Longines teamed up with its two famous ambassadors, Mikaela Shiffrin and Marco Odermatt, at the Race Talk event organised by the FIS. On this occasion, the Saint-Imier-based brand also unveiled its dedicated model, the new Conquest Chrono Ski Edition.
Every weekend for the next five months, a team of Longines technicians will be strategically positioned on the slopes of major resorts such as Bormio, Val Gardena, Garmisch, Val d’Isère, Saint-Moritz, Wengen and Kitzbühel to time the world’s best skiers. As part of its partnership with the sports organisation, Longines will be responsible for managing the start lists and recording the results of each FIS World Cup and FIS Alpine World Ski Championship event.
