Audemars Piguet presents “Seek Beyond” in Dubai

The Manufacture from Le Brassus took part in Dubai Watch Week, held from 16 to 20 November in the Arabian Peninsula’s foremost city. It presented its major “Seek Beyond” exhibition, offering an immersive and interactive journey into the brand’s past, present and future. It retraces the brand’s ongoing quest for innovation to push the boundaries of watchmaking.

While firmly rooted in its origins dating back to 1875, Audemars Piguet draws its inspiration from fields as varied as art, music, sport, entertainment and architecture – all of which nurture its teams’ creativity and lead to the creation of exceptional watches.

Among the timepieces on display from the heritage collection and contemporary creations, visitors were able to immerse themselves in the world of the Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet Ultra-Complication Universelle RD#4 – which has just won the “Aiguille d’Or” Grand Prix at the 23rd Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève – and the Royal Oak Concept Split Second Chronograph GMT Large Date. Combining time-honoured expertise, modern techniques, ergonomics and contemporary aesthetics, these two watches have opened up new creative and technical horizons for Audemars Piguet.

Visitors were also able to discover the brand’s research into materials, precious stones, shapes and colours. One such example was the set comprising ten Royal Oak Selfwinding Rainbow white gold watches, each entirely paved with a different variety of baguette-cut coloured stones. Placed side by side, they effectively form a rainbow.

Also as part of Dubai Watch Week, Audemars Piguet’s CEO François-Henry Bennahmias took part in the Watchmaking Forum, which examined the impact of collaborations in the watch industry. It was also an opportunity to announce a long-term partnership with the Dubai Future Foundation, aimed at fostering innovation in the realm of Fine Watchmaking and encouraging talented individuals to broaden their horizons and bring unexpected projects to life.
