Tissot sponsor of the Tour de Romandie

The year 2022 is all about cycling in Lausanne, with the city being one of the stages on both the Tour de Romandie and the Tour de France.

To mark the occasion, Tissot, the official timekeeper of these two races, has set up a countdown clock that was unveiled on 26 April, the start date of the 75th edition of the Tour de Romandie. Richard Chassot, director of this event, officially passed the torch to Christian Prudhomme, director of the Tour de France. This symbolic moment took place in the presence of Sylvain Dolla, General Manager Tissot, and Emilie Moeschler, Director of Sports and Social Cohesion of the City of Lausanne and President of the Lausanne Cycling Association. The countdown clock, installed in the Flon district, is counting down the seconds, minutes, hours and days until the arrival of the eighth stage of the Tour de France in Lausanne on 9 July.

Tissot thereby once again celebrates the brand’s strong commitment to the world of cycling, as expressed by the partnership concluded in 1995 with the UCI as official timekeeper. Further underlining this commitment, the watchmaker has partnered with Primož Roglič, three-time Vuelta winner, heroic runner-up in the 2020 Tour de France and Olympic champion in 2020.
