Brütsch/Rüegger Tools or Industry 4.0

For more than ten years now, Brütsch/Rüegger Tools has been aware of the importance of Industry 4.0 and has gradually built up extensive expertise in the field of intelligent production.

In addition to a wide range of tools, production equipment and workplace safety articles, the 145-year-old company now operates as a developer of software solutions and integrator of connected systems.

In order to better support customers in their modernisation process, Brütsch/Rüegger Tools and Stemys joined forces on 1 January. At the end of 2021, Brütsch/Rüegger Tools added to the stake it had held in the French-speaking company since 2015 by taking over the remaining shares. With this decision to team up for the future, the two partners have created a perfect symbiosis: on the one hand, a systemically important traditional company firmly rooted in the market, and on the other, a young innovative team of engineers and experts in digital solutions.

Founded in 2013, Stemys SA initially focused on the creation of digital interfaces between measuring instruments and software. Over time, the company has extended its communications technology to other objects in the industry, such as production machines or storage systems.

Raphaël Müller, Head of Industrial Solutions at Brütsch/Rüegger Tools, has been involved in all cooperation projects with Stemys since 2015. As of 1 January 2022, he has also taken the helm as director of Stemys AG.
