Tanja Hüberli and Nina Betschart
On August 19th this year, Tanja Hüberli and Nina Betschart, Swiss professional beach volleyball players, were welcomed in due style at the watch brand’s Biel/Bienne headquarters.
Members of the Swatch Proteam since last May, the two athletes won gold at the European Championships which took place from August 11th to 15th in Vienna, Austria.
The entire Swatch team gave the two athletes a standing ovation on their arrival at the Manufacture. In an interview live-streamed on Instagram, they expressed their surprise at receiving two customised timepieces bearing their likenesses.
Tanja and Nina spend most of their time playing beach volleyball, while also continuing their studies, between international competitions and training sessions. In their rare spare time, Tanja hikes and cooks, while Nina is passionate about travelling and loves the ocean. These two very different personalities make a strong winning pair.
