Shot by the artistic duo Bruno and Nico Van Mossevelde, this campaign transports us in an imaginary place beyond space and time, where light moulds beauty and infuses with magnificence everything it touches. Inspired by Rome, the dreamlike setting interprets with a surrealist twist some of the city’s most iconic elements. The infinite sky, the unique golden light and the sleek, monumental architecture of Rome converge into irichly evocative images brimming with natural elegance.
Bvlgari animates about 1,000 windows over its boutiques worldwide with an entrancing Roman sky just before the sun goes down. Like open-air works of art, to be admired in the streets of the major cities, the windows have been developed in collaboration with the Comunità di San Patrignano, an Italian recovery community supporting young people through a rehabilitation programme in discovering and fostering their talents in arts and crafts. An expression of the educational potential of beauty and craftsmanship, the saffron panels have been realized in six months of work exploring techniques such as the gold leaf, the sanguine – a red chalk of reddish-brown colour made famous by Leonardo Da Vinci – and the hand painting, in a perfect collision between genius, creativity and craft.
