SwatchPay! is now activated online

In addition to the possibility of ordering SwatchPay! online, every customer can now activate it on swatch.com. There is no longer any need to go to an authorised boutique or have an activation box sent to your home. The way it works remains the same: to pay, the customer simply places their watch in front of the contactless payment terminal and waits for the beep to sound.

Once a customer has selected their favourite model in the online shop, they create an account that will allow them to activate it. The timepiece which is configured accordingly yet locked for security reasons is then sent by post, and the new owner will be able to unlock it via the SwatchPay! app downloaded to their smartphone.

To carry out this project, the Biel/Bienne-based company collaborated with Autix SA and wearonize, two Swiss high-tech companies with respective expertise in automation and the development of digital payment solutions.
