Partnership between Bergeon and Crevoisier

Crevoisier SA, a manufacturer of finishing machines, and Bergeon SA, a developer of assembly equipment and tools for the watchmaking and microtechnology sectors, have transformed their collaboration into a full-fledged partnership.

The aim is to extend the distribution area for Crevoisier polishing stations by relying on the proximity of the Bergeon subsidiaries and its international clientele.

The reputation of the Crevoisier company has been built on the quality of the machines distributed in some 60 countries across five continents. Every week, several machines leave the company in the Franches-Montagnes to equip polishing workshops.

For its part, Bergeon has built its international reputation by selling high-quality products, almost 70% of which are made in its workshops in La Chaux-de-Fonds, under the Bergeon Manufactured label. Present in more than 120 countries, the firm relies firmly on its distribution network.

The qualitative and aesthetic requirements applicable in the fields of luxury, MedTech, avionics and many others have served to highlight the importance of polishing professions. For it is indeed polishers that are most often involved in the finishing process in order to give luxury products the lustre, gloss and exceptional finish they deserve.

The dazzling technological evolution of the last few years has changed the situation and the polisher’s skilled touch is now reproduced by state-of-the-art collaborative robots. Nonetheless, certain high added value products, produced in small and medium series or for specific applications, are still crafted by hand on increasingly sophisticated polishing stations.

After appropriate training in the use of the machines and their accessories, Bergeon has a DSG C5100-Compact polishing station in its showroom. This is specially designed for use in cramped spaces such as after-sales service departments, shops or for performing touch-ups at the end of the production line. Bergeon also offers a wide range of consumables, several of which come from the range of the French company Merard, recognised as an international leader for the quality of its discs, polishing and buffing pastes, available in multiple variants, such as the Luxor line.

To complete this new top-of-the-range polishing offer, Bergeon et Crevoisier are competently backed by the expertise of WOSTEP, in Neuchâtel, which offers training in the field.
