STS Develier, which specialises in coating industrial parts, is diversifying its client base to include partnering the watch industry.
Created in response to the electroplating needs of Vardeco SA (a subsidiary of the Acrotec SA group), the firm has invested 3.5 million francs in order to offer its customers new treatments such as nickel plating, gilding, rhodium plating and aluminium anodising. The company also meets sophisticated demands in the automotive, aeronautical and medical fields.
STS is a new stakeholder in the field of industrial and watchmaking electroplating in the Jura region. The firm is geared towards large volumes, either in bulk with a manual processing line, or in automated loops.
STS (Saulcy Traitement de Surface) operates four production sites in Switzerland: Le Sentier (2006), La Chaux-de-Fonds (2010), Develier (2016) and Meyrin (2018). These branches extend across the entire Jura mountain range so as to offer fast response times thanks to geographical proximity with customers. STS has a hundred-strong workforce and eight new staff members will be joining the Develier team.
