This July, Breitling announced the appointment of Georges Kern as its new CEO.
Head of watchmaking, marketing and digital for the Richemont group, this keen watchmaking enthusiast served as CEO for IWC Schaffhausen from 2000 to 2016. He had started his career in mass consumer goods before joining the watch industry and working for TAG Heuer from 1992 to 2000.
As CEO and in this context shareholder of Breitling, Georges Kern‘s mission will be to foster the global development and focus on further developing Breitling’s digital and retail footprint, especially with a view of accelerating growth in the important Asian markets. Jean-Paul Girardin will remain with Breitling as vice president.
