On the occasion of the Contemporary Art Week in Miami, Jean-Claude Biver, brand CEO and President of the LVMH Group Watches Division, inaugurated his partnership with Alec Monopoly.
As «Art Provocateur» the American has put his talent to work with graffiti in the TAG Heuer boutique situated at the heart of the Miami Design District. He will go on to make his own contribution to various artistic creation processes of the firm from La Chaux-de-Fonds. The two partners also inaugurated the Mondrian Gallery, installed on the premises of the Hôtel Mondrian South Beach. This space provides a pop-up exhibition supported by TAG Heuer with a giant tagged wall.
Recognised for his urban style, the artist always wears a hat and face mask. Safeguarding his anonymity he owes his fame to the personage of the same name taken from the famous party game. Drawing his inspiration from the financial crisis of 2008, Alec Monopoly has amused himself by illustrating the little banker in all kinds of situations since then. His entertaining works continue to depict other personages such as Uncle Scrooge and Richie Rich.
