2016 Red Bull Air Race World Championship

As official timekeeper of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship, Breitling will be closely following the performances of its pilots.

Having got under way on 11 March in Abu Dhabi, the competition will make stopovers in Spielberg (Austria), Chiba (Japan), Budapest (Hungary), Ascot (United Kingdom), Lausitzring (Germany) and Indianapolis (United States), and will finish next October in Las Vegas.

Flying at the controls of fast, agile, lightweight aircraft, competitors will vie for supremacy on low-altitude courses marked out by inflatable pylons. They will try to score the most points at speeds of up to 370 km/h, with phases of acceleration as high as 10G.

Britain Nigel Lamb, a member of the Breitling Racing Team and winner of the Championship in 2014, will be supporting his young co-pilot Mikael Brageot in a sponsorship programme organised on the fringes of the sports competition.
