For the 24th consecutive year, the brand was the official sponsor of the Rolex 24 At Daytona.
This event, a fixture on the calendar every year since 1962 and now in its 54th edition, took place at the end of January at Daytona Beach, in Florida. A recognised endurance race, the competition follows the same principle as the Le Mans 24 Hours, only on a different, 5.7 km circuit.
This year, 54 cars were present on the starting line. After a pulsating race, driver Pipo Derani emerged victorious in the individual category. The Brazilian driver was presented with an engraved model of the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona. Meanwhile the American stable, Extreme Speed Motorsports, won the title of best team at this 2016 edition.
