The second edition of Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille, held on 6 September, confirmed the success encountered last year.
The Chantilly Estate, a majestic and idyllic setting for an event of this nature, welcomed 13,500 visitors, an increase of 35% compared to the first edition. Not only car enthusiasts, but families too were drawn by a programme celebrating French lifestyle and know-how, with numerous workshops and activities in place for the occasion. Under a clement Sunday sky, enthusiasts were able to discover one hundred exceptional cars in the running for the Concours d’Etat, seven concept cars presented by constructors and designers – accompanied by models representing fashion houses – in a bid for the Concours d’Elegance, as well as forty clubs competing for the Grand Prix des Clubs.
Restoring the great French tradition of elegance competitions dating from the 1920s, Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille has already received an award for the best motor car event of the year 2014, while the 2015 edition was promoted by the Ministry of Culture and Communications.
Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille has made its mark as the elegant rendezvous for those returning from their summer holidays, not only in France but also beyond the country’s borders. A claim supported by this year’s rise in the number of collectors and media representatives from Asia, the United States and the rest of Europe. In just two years, the event has consolidated its place among the elite of international car competitions. Diaries at the ready for the 4 September 2016 and the third edition, which promises to be even finer still.
