In June this year, Longines and EEM (Belgian company which organises international show jumping contests) announced a new partnership at a press conference held in Ecaussinne, in Belgium.
This important agreement sees the Saint-Imier brand become the headline partner, official timekeeper and official watch of the Longines Masters. Henceforth, the three show jumping contests organised in Los Angeles, Paris and Hong Kong will be known as the Longines Masters.
Juan-Carlos Capelli, Vice-President and International Marketing Director of the brand, and Christophe Ameeuw, founder and CEO of EEM, set the official seal on this partnership at the headquarters of EEM.
In addition, Longines gives its name to two flagship events at each of these equestrian meetings: the Longines Speed Challenge and the Longines Grand Prix. In the first, riders seek to complete the course as quickly as possible, knowing that two-second penalties are added for each pole knocked down. The second meanwhile represents the highest level of show jumping.
