The new Longines advert for the French Open of Roland-Garros was filmed this spring during an extraordinary day for the dozens of children chosen to play the stars.
It was an opportunity for the budding actors to meet two tennis legends: Stefanie Graf and Andre Agassi. Displaying all the elegance they embody on behalf of Longines, the Longines Ambassadors of Elegance thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the children.
In the advert, which highlights Longines’ commitment to supporting young athletes, the children coming from all around the globe, walk through a dreamlike Paris to Roland-Garros, taken along by their tennis idols Stefanie Graf and Andre Agassi. There, in front of the Eiffel Tower, they discover the tennis court which serves as setting for the Longines Future Tennis Aces and the final stage of «Rendez-vous à Roland-Garros», the very place where the dreams of young tennis stars come true.
With the 3D technology, the budding actors did not play in Paris’ streets featured in the final TV spot, but on a green background. The filming was punctuated by many laughs since the children had to take into account non-existing objects only evocated by the film set.
The TV spot can be found on YouTube.
