For several decades now Certina has been closely associated with the world of motor sport.
Since 2013, this make has been the official time keeper for the World FIA Rally Championship in addition to its sponsorship of the Sauber F1 Formula 1 Team. To play a still greater role in the rallying world, Certina has announced its new partnership with the Citroën Total Abu Dhabi World Rally Team. This announcement was made on 22 January last during the Monte Carlo Rally, the opening event of the 2015 World Championship season.
As the official Citroën Racing partner, the brand based in Le Locle will support the team and also supply watches for its personnel and drivers (Sheikh Khalid Al Qassimi, Kris Meeke and Mads Østberg). The house logo will also figure on the cars and on the drivers’ race suits, further enhancing the visibility of Certina’s long term commitment to motor sport.
