For the third year in succession, H. Moser & Cie has given its support to the prestigious Swiss «Entrepreneur of The Year 2014» competition, organised by Ernst & Young. In keeping with the tradition of its founder, Heinrich Moser, the brand still places the same entrepreneurial spirit at the service of an outstanding ability to innovate. Based in Neuhausen, the manufacture encourages and supports the most promising and outstanding Swiss enterprises which are distinguished by the award of this prestigious prize.
This year, 33 entrepreneurs qualified for the 17th edition. The jury of eleven members designated the ten finalists and the names of the prize winners were announced on 24 October at a gala evening in the St Gallen Theatre in front of an audience of 300 invited guests from economic, political and cultural circles. They were: Martin Jucker and Beat Jucker (Jucker Farm AG, Seegräben), in the Commerce/Services category; Otto Hofstetter (Otto Hofstetter AG, Uznach), in the Industry/High-Tech/Life Sciences category; Viktor Calabrò (Staff Finder AG, Zurich), Emerging Entrepreneur category; Hans R. Rüegg and Thomas H. Rüegg (Baumann Federn AG, Rüti), in the Family Business category.
At the international level, this competition aims to be an event with a global outreach; comparable «awards» are organised in 145 cities and 60 countries.
