JeanRichard - Boat Race 2014

For the second year in a row, the famous Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race was timed by the Swiss watchmaker JeanRichard. This 160th edition of the Boat Race, a 6.8 km event on the River Thames which has opposed the two universities since 1829, ended with the victory of the Oxford crew. Its members were presented with an Aquascope watch as a reward.

On this occasion, JeanRichard revealed a new and exclusive timepiece embodying the traditional colours of the race; the minute circle and the indexes at 12 o’clock reproduce the two shades of blue worn by each team (dark blue for Oxford and light blue for Cambridge) with a matching rubber strap in the same colour tones and a seconds hand enhanced by an arrow as a reference to the race emblem.
