News On 10 March this year, Commonwealth Day, Longines unveiled the countdown clock to the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Swimming champion Michael Jamieson, one of the event’s ambassadors, joined thousands of schoolchildren to celebrate this special day. He also attended the ceremony marking the start of the official countdown to the opening of the biggest sporting and cultural event ever organised in Scotland, where the brand from Saint-Imier will feature as official timekeeper and official watch.
Placed above the arrivals and departures board at the station, the new clock will be seen by thousands of commuters and visitors in the period leading up to the event, which will begin in July.
