Hublot - Support To The Womanity Foundation

Since 2007, Hublot has supported charity work by the Womanity Foundation, which aims to improve the condition of underprivileged girls and women in Afghanistan, Brazil, India, Israel, Morocco and Palestinian territories.

The fifth biennial gala of the Foundation (previously called the Smiling Children Foundation) was held on 30 January in Geneva and was attended by Yann Borgstedt, the president and founder of Womanity, and Jean-Claude Biver, president of Hublot and head of the Watch Division at the LVMH group. Numerous personalities and artistic talents were also present among the thousand or more guests, such as the German-Nigerian singer Ayo, the author, composer and performer Licia Chery, who is based in Geneva but hails from Haiti, and sculptor Eleanor Cardozo.

To support the association on this occasion, the watch manufacturer created two limited editions of timepieces featuring a touch of violet, the colour of Womanity. During the gala evening the brand donated the engraved 001 pieces of these editions, which were sold by auction for a total of 60,000 francs. All profits from the sale will go to the Foundation.
