News On 25 October, H. Moser & Cie sponsored the prize-giving ceremony of the «Entrepreneur Of The Year» awards, held at the Event Hall StageOne, in Zurich-Oerlikon. Organised by Ernst & Young, this event pays tribute to the achievements of the best entrepreneurs of the year, divided into different categories. As the event’s official co-sponsor, the watchmaker congratulated each of the five winners of the competition and presented them with an exclusive timepiece from its collection.
The laureates in 2013 were: Rolf A. Sonderegger, Kistler Gruppe, Winterthur (Industry / High Technology / Life Sciences category); Kadir and Deniz Ugur, Bentour Türkei-Reisen SA, Zurich (Services / Commerce); Jan Schoch, Leonteq Securities SA, Zurich (Emerging Entrepreneur); Christoph Tobler, Sefar Holding SA, Thal (Family Business) and Hans Huber, Honorary President SFS Holding SA, Heerbrugg (Master Entrepreneur).
Support for entrepreneurship is a key value intrinsic to the brand. Heinrich Moser, the company’s founder, was not only a visionary and ambitious watchmaker, but also a tireless entrepreneur. Emigrating to St Petersburg in 1928 to set up his own business, he quickly made a name for himself and became a leading manager highly respected in his field. On his return to Switzerland twenty years later, he modernised the infrastructure in his home town of Schaffhausen. Today, Heinrich Moser is still recognised as one of the greatest of innovative Swiss industrialists.
