News Since 2011, Omega has worked alongside the GoodPlanet Foundation raising public awareness of our oceans. On 15 May 2013, the brand celebrated the Swiss preview of Planet Ocean, a new environmental documentary directed by Yann Arthus-Bertrand and Michael Pitiot. The brand hosted a cocktail party and an exhibition at La Cité du Temps in Geneva. Guests had the opportunity to look at photographs of underwater nature taken by Yann Arthus-Bertrand. More than 200 guests and journalists attended the screening in the cinema.
Inspired by the diversity of the oceans, the Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M GoodPlanet completes the collection of the brand. It is presented on either a classic stainless steel bracelet or sporty blue rubber strap. The caseback, engraved with «GoodPlanet Foundation» features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The brand has committed a portion of the proceeds from this timepiece to fully funding a project to preserve the mangroves and seagrasses in Southeast Asia and educating the local population about the conservation of these important natural resources that are such a critical part of our balanced eco-system.
