For the seventh year in succession, IWC Schaffhausen has launched a special edition on behalf of the «Laureus Sport for Good Foundation», an institution which through its sports projects provides opportunities for young people around the globe. This year, the manufactory presents the Portugaise Yacht Club Chronographe in a limited edition of 1,000 pieces, with an engraving on its back cover representing a child’s drawing. The picture chosen this year is the work of Hakkini Hasanga Sandumal De Silva, a 12 year-old boy living in Sri Lanka, whose interpretation of the subject «Time to Move» won the jury over. His drawing of a sprinter with his team and jubilant fans in the background captures the Olympic spirit to perfection. It also shows the Olympic flame, a time-honoured symbol of peace and hope, which aptly sums up the motto of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation: sport has the power to change the world.
