On March 15, Richard Mille announced the opening of the Proart factory in Les Breuleux, an ultra-contemporary 3,000 m2 building designed by the Chavanne architects’ office. With this new manufactory, the brand represents a new milestone in its development. RM watches cases, as well as certain movement components, including baseplates and bridges, will be fashioned on this site.
It has taken more than two years to complete this factory, which is at the cutting edge of environmental considerations thanks, in large part, to the materials used in its construction. While the finishing touches are still being added to certain features, the machinery is already running and around thirty CNC programmers, inspectors and polishers are already working on-site. The entire factory, managed by Alain Varrin, will be fully operational in April.
