Born in 1961, François Tauriac started out in journalism after studying law. He has spent his entire career with the Figaro group, where he worked first on the political desk of the daily newspaper before joining France-Soir and France-Soir magazine as a reporter. In 1987, he moved to TV Magazine in the same role, becoming successively desk editor, editorial director and finally editor. As well as overseeing print projects, he developed numerous Internet and digital applications within the press group, such as the first online television for the magazine press on You Tube: «Very Watch».
In taking the reins at Richard Mille, he joins a friend and partner of long standing, but also touches base with his DNA, since at the age of 18 he was an apprentice with the famous jeweller Jacques Lenfant, his grandfather. His mission with the firm will be to ensure its continued development in terms of selective distribution, organisation, logistics and communication. He will work closely with the brand’s president and CEO Richard Mille, who in the years ahead would like to focus more on group strategy and the design and development of new models.
