Girard-Perregaux - «The New Face Of Tradition»

Presented in 2012 as an Industry first, «The New Face of Tradition» project has encountered an incredible success and will continue to stun in 2013! Iconic luxury watchmaker Girard-Perregaux is proud to present a new group of its Young Watchmakers, showcasing their talents not only in their famed manufacture but also in their passions beyond watchmaking.

The digital journal hoted at www.thenewfaceoftradition.com will present throughout the year what makes Jerome, Anne, Julien, Grégory, François, Lise and Paul-Henry tick. Who is the handball player? What kind of video games does a watchmaker play? Is patience a skill at poker as it is to assemble watches? And where on the planet will they travel to showcase their Art?

Last year, the Young Watchmakers’ Tour visited New York City before heading to Beijing, Paris and Miami, every time being met with enthusiasm and curiosity.

The highly skilled work of Girard-Perregaux’s young craftsmen deserved an exceptional décor to begin the year. The majestic Aletsch Glacier, the largest in the Alps, has been the stage to host this first trip with one of their watchmakers assembling a three gold Bridges Tourbillon at that height.
