News On 21 September this year, Richemont announced the future acquisition of the American company Peter Millar, active in the high-end clothing sector. The group signed an agreement with the investment fund Winona Capital. The deal will be concluded in October and is unlikely to have a significant impact on the current financial year.
Founded in 2001 by Chris Knott, Peter Millar specialises in luxury fashion and uses mainly top quality materials for its collections. The business is currently run by Scott Mahoney, the former head of Polo Ralph Lauren. Its products are distributed in North America, Europe, Asia, Australia and the South Pacific. The partnership with Richemont will allow Peter Millar to develop its expansion worldwide.
