On 10 November, LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton) announced the acquisition of 100% of the shares of ArteCad, one of the leading manufacturers of Swiss watch dials. This transaction will enable LVMH to further reinforce its industrial integration in watchmaking and guarantee its independence in the strategic area of watch dials.
Founded in 1885, ArteCad today has 215 employees working in its main facility located in Tramelan. It manufactures more than 350,000 watch dials a year and supplies LVMH brands as well as numerous other prestigious Swiss timepieces manufacturers amongst its clients, all of whom it will continue to serve with the same diligence. ArteCad is known for its integrated expertise across all dials manufacturing processes, for its unique innovation capability as well as its rapid prototyping. Since 2004, ArteCad has been owned and managed by Philippe Hubbard and Christophe Gouthier, who have successfully overseen the company’s development through its modernisation and expansion of its prestigious client base. Philippe Hubbard and Christophe Gouthier will continue to serve as co-directors of ArteCad SA.
