Parmigiani Fleurier has announced the appointment of Philippe de Korodi (aged 47) to the post of Chief Operating Officer (COO) from 1st October 2011. Michel Parmigiani and Jean-Marc Jacot remain in their respective roles of President and Chief Executive Officer. Jean-Marc Jacot also stays on as delegate to watch industry affairs with the Sandoz Family Foundation.
The many initiatives of Parmigiani Fleurier in the international arena, not only with the creation of subsidiaries in Europe, Asia and America but also with the opening of Les Ateliers Parmigiani worldwide in 2010-2011, are the reason behind this strengthening of the board of directors. The arrival of Philippe de Korodi in this operational role marks a decisive stage in the brand’s growth.
Initially a delegate to the CICR in Asia and the Middle East, Philippe de Korodi joined the multinational Nestlé, and then Lindt & Sprüngli as head of marketing strategy, before taking the reins at chocolate-maker Favarger and subsequently being appointed CEO at Caran d’Ache from 2008 to 2011. He was chosen for his expertise in managing a product with close links to Swiss made and his ability to develop the growth and high-end visibility of a brand at an international level.
