Ulysse Nardin - Acquisition Of Donzé Cadrans SA

On 1st September this year, Ulysse Nardin acquired the Le Locle based company Donzé Cadrans SA, which specialises in the enamelling of dials for use in prestige timepieces.

After many years at the reins of Donzé Cadrans, Francine and Michel Vermot have decided to take their retirement. With a view to protecting their company’s long-term future and the techniques it has mastered, they sold all of the firm’s capital to Ulysse Nardin. The latter was the force behind the renaissance of this great art and played a key role in the development of Donzé Cadrans. By integrating under one roof the techniques of cloisonné and grand-feu enamelling, it will strengthen its watchmaking expertise through the unique character of its watches and perpetuate the passion for fine watchmaking.

«The acquisition of Donzé Cadrans is part of a process of continuity and vertical integration of production which reflects the heritage and tradition of the manufactory,» said Patrick Hoffmann, CEO of Ulysse Nardin.
