News After Paris, New York, Beverly Hills, Miami and Ginza, Hublot has now opened its 36th boutique, this time in London at 31 New Bond Street in the heart of the luxury shopping district. This new space was inaugurated on 22 June in the presence of Ilie Nastase, a Romanian world tennis legend and Marcus Margulies, the Chairman of Time Products.
Launched to mark the inauguration of the London boutique, the Nastie Bang is the outcome of close cooperation between Hublot and Team Nastase. Produced in 132 copies – the number of titles won by Ilie Nastase – and directly inspired by the world of tennis, this model, in black ceramic with red and yellow recalling the colours of the Romanian flag, features an automatic HUB 4100 chronograph movement. Ilie Nastase’s signature is transfer-printed at 6 o’clock under the sapphire crystal. On the dial side, two counters recall the world of tennis: the 60 seconds counter positioned at 9 o’clock is a witty reminder of the points in a tennis game «5 - 30 - 40 - game Nastase» and a 30 minutes counter at 3 o’clock which features a stamped tennis ball. Finally, the case back of the watch features a transfer-printed image of the player in action.
