News The goalkeeper of the Swiss national football team Diego Benaglio has taken on the role of ambassador for Carl F. Bucherer from 1st January 2011. He is the perfect example that ambition and self-confidence can make even the wildest dreams come true.
Aged 27, Diego Benaglio can be proud of his success. His childhood dream of becoming a footballer was realised in 1999 when he joined the Grasshopper Club in Zurich. He then spent three years with VfB Stuttgart. He was aged 23 when he transferred to Clube Desportivo Nacional de Madère in the Portuguese first division. In 2008, Diego Benaglio joined the German Bundesliga, where one year later he won the German league title with VfL Wolfsburg.
