Hublot - In A New Setting In Nyon

Hublot has now brought together all of its activities, hitherto dispersed over two sites, under one roof in Nyon, at 33 chemin de la Vuarpillière. Here they occupy 6,000 m2 of floor space spread over six levels (including two basement levels).

The ground floor houses machining workshops which, after the forthcoming acquisition of machines, will enable Hublot to integrate different stages of production within the manufactory. "Between now and 2010, our aim is to produce 5,000 to 8,000 movements manufactured entirely in-house, and to attain a level of production of 20,000 movements between now and 2012!" said a delighted Jean-Claude Biver.

The first floor is devoted to production properly speaking. Premises bathed in natural light house watchmakers working on the production of the famous Big Bang and other models for which the firm is justly renowned.

The second floor is dedicated to R&D, the watchmaking laboratory, and the purchasing and after-sales departments.

The third floor, lastly, is given over to administration and to Hublot TV, which has its own on-site recording studio. A showroom is available to visitors where they can discover the firm’s newest products, as well as raptor and explorer display cabinets, in a unique atmosphere offering breathtaking views of Lake Geneva and snow-covered mountains.

The building also houses a crèche called les Hublotins, which will receive its first intake with the return to work after the 2009 summer break (it will be open not only to children of Hublot personnel but also to children in the surrounding area), as well as a space reserved for young entrepreneurs involved in promising start-ups.
