On the occasion of its 150th anniversary, which it celebrated to the day on 7 November this year, the Eterna watchmaking manufactory remembered this proverb and as a result decided to treat itself to a 250 page book retracing its history and that of its flagship products (rotor on ball-bearing, alarm wristwatch, etc). Now available in French, German and English priced at 69 euros from the best bookshops and the web site www.eterna.ch, the work also looks briefly at the lives of individuals who have featured prominently in the Granges watchmaking industry. Its authors are Gisbert L. Brunner and Christian Pfeiffer-Belli.
