John Howe at Rodolphe - Welcome To The Club!

On 16 December last year, at the Hotel Palafitte in Neuchâtel, watch designer Rodolphe Cattin and Jacky Epitaux, CEO of the Rodolphe company, welcomed to the Rodolphe club John Howe, book illustrator and cinematic artist, who worked notably on Peter Jackson’s "Lord of the Rings" trilogy.

The club, founded in the summer of 2000 under the impetus of Rodolphe Cattin, brings together personalities from the world of the arts, culture and industry and seeks to provide the company with genuine artistic input through the personal contributions of its members. It serves as a meeting place where society’s movers and opinion-makers can speak a shared language of change. In addition, members are able to have a say regarding future collections.

A discreet, even secretive man, very much the artist and dreamer, John Howe draws his spellbinding talents from a mysterious wellspring of imagination. To celebrate the arrival of the fourth member of his club, Rodolphe Cattin had the pleasure of presenting him with a personalised engraving and a steel "Le Semainier" watch with quintuple date, a trademark piece of the Jura based manufacturer.

The pen of John Howe thus crosses that of Rodolphe, for his part a specialist in the world of watchmaking, who last year was responsible for the design of around seven million timepieces sold across the globe.
