Richemont In Beijing - Exhibition In The Forbidden City

The Richemont Group, represented by Franco Cologni, is presenting in Beijing its fine watch brands in a corporate exhibition, "Watches & Wonders", from September 19th to September 23rd, 2004 in Tai Miao Temple at the entrance to the Forbidden City. This event will coincide with the 55th anniversary of the People's Republic of China. The exhibition will be inaugurated on September 18th by official representatives and guests.

This is the first time that a cultural exhibition of fine watches has been staged in this exceptional setting, with a presentation of six hundred historic and contemporary watches. The exhibition will retrace several centuries of fine watchmaking, and will present the associated techniques and crafts. A watchmaker, an enameller, an engraver and a stone-setter will demonstrate their outstanding expertise.

As part of this exhibition, and brought together for the first time in China, the Richemont Group brands of A. Lange & Söhne, Baume & Mercier, Cartier, Dunhill, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Montblanc, Panerai, Piaget and Vacheron Constantin will unveil their precious and technically sophisticated creations.

The Richemont Group has also placed its expertise at the disposal of the City of Beijing for the restoration of a historic watch from the collections at the Forbidden City.
