News At the end of February, Gucci announced its acquisition of whole ownership of the Di Modolo SA and Di Modolo Associates companies. Based in La Chaux de Fonds, these two bodies will continue to be directed by the former proprietor, Mr Dino Modolo. The cost of the transaction was not revealed.
Di Modolo is has design responsibility for leading Swiss brands. With its 70 employees, Di Modolo SA has vertical control over the group. It specializes in the manufacture of models and prototypes. The other component of the group, Di Modolo Associates, for its part employs six persons in design.
