The Progress Watch company, which manufactures watch movements and is based in Biel, is acquiring Aigat SA - Claude Lehnherr SA, of La Neuveville. The latter employs over twenty persons and is primarily active in the metallurgical industry. The company will continue its business as in the past under the same name, as Mr Peter Gschwind, CEO of Progress Watch, explained. Priority will be given to investments in logistics, quality assurance systems and means of production.
This acquisition not only signifies further know-how but also the use of natural synergies and progressive verticalization of the business itself, as Mr Gschwind pointed out. Through its expertise in stamping, laser welding and electro-wire erosion, Aigat SA admirably complements the business of Progress watch.
