Forum Horizon 2026

Does our country have to choose between the United States, Europe, the wider world or isolation? Can it maintain a balancing act without risking a fall? How should the different sectors and the political sphere anticipate or respond?

The global shock waves from the tariffs imposed by Washington are creating new international trade barriers. For an open economy like ours, this is bad news and a major challenge! The country’s financial sector as well as the machinery, watchmaking and pharmaceutical industries are among those liable to be most affected.

Faced with all these uncertainties, what pitfalls should our country avoid; which strategies should be developed to protect Switzerland’s financial centre and pharmaceutical industry – and should the state be a real economic player or a discreet, effective arbiter?

To discuss these issues, join us at the Forum Horizon 2026 held on Thursday 29 January 2026 from 9am to 12.30pm at IMD Lausanne. To view the programme and register: events.letemps.ch/horizon. Price: CHF 390 (including breakfast, presentations, coffee break and closing cocktail). Special rate for FH members: CHF 200 (to obtain the discount code, write to: florian.blanchard@fhs.swiss).
