Founded in 1945, Badeco has its roots in Geneva, where it helped revolutionise the watchmaking and jewellery industries. The company is behind several major innovations, including the patent for the gemsetting hammer handpiece, as well as the launch 50 years ago of its first Badeco M3 micromotor. The latter represents a true technological feat that laid the foundations for worldwide recognition of the brand that has become synonymous with quality and innovation.
Today, this “legend” continues to be acclaimed by schools, major companies and artisans alike for both its quality and its extraordinary durability. The responsive and visionary firm has excelled for 80 years in the design and production of custom precision tooling solutions intended to meet the most demanding professional requirements. Over the last ten years, under the impetus of current owner Amir Hoveyda, the range of carbon micromotors has transformed artisans’ daily lives thanks to lightweight, ergonomic tools that free up space on workbenches. This desire to optimise performance while protecting users’ health is illustrated by the development of nanomotors representing real game changers. In 2024, Badeco reached a new milestone with the launch of the MX-2 Revolt, a concentration of the finest technologies in the range, further affirming its role as a visionary leader.
To celebrate its 80th anniversary, Badeco will be exhibiting at a number of trade fairs, including Vicenzaoro T.Gold, Inhorgenta Munich, EPHJ Geneva and JCK Las Vegas. Alongside local partners, the company will be unveiling some major new products, including the Upsilon model designed to optimise work space; the Omega range serving to combine Brushless and carbon motors; as well as a few other surprises that are still under wraps. The Ultrasoni, another flagship innovation associating an ultrasonic handpiece with a micromotor, promises to redefine industry standards. All in all, an ambitious programme placing Swiss made innovation at the heart of this anniversary year.
