Five years ago, on 11 October, Thomas Baillod launched BA111OD. It was a daring move that shook up the industry’s conventional codes and marked the start of a veritable adventure in the world of watchmaking. To celebrate its fifth anniversary, the brand is unveiling a brand-new trilogy, presented in three phases, celebrating artistic crafts and more specifically miniature acrylic painting.
This trio of watches began with a first act dedicated to authenticity, materialised by a unique creation produced in a fleeting limited series. This timepiece offers a bold reinterpretation of the Chapter 4 Tourbillon, in the form of a tribute to the city where the Maison was founded, Neuchâtel. Each is an exclusive work of art, adorned with a meticulously crafted view of the city, created by talented sketch artist Célestine Sahli, then reproduced with extreme precision in miniature using acrylic paint by Ateliers Blandenier.
Since its launch, BA111OD has established itself as an innovative start-up, reshaping the contours of the watchmaking industry. With a forward-looking vision and a daring optimisation of distribution, the brand has succeeded in combining excellence and accessibility. To date, it has already launched eight Chapters. By democratising the Haute Horlogerie, it has also attracted the interest of generations and individuals who previously had no affinity for the field.
The very essence of the brand’s mechanical timepieces is rooted in the canton of Neuchâtel: each watch comes to life here, under the pencil of senior designer Liliane Murenzi, crafted with the expertise of partners primarily from the Neuchâtel mountains and then assembled in the brand’s watchmaking atelier.
