Acrotec joins forces with the Haute Ecole Arc Ingénierie

Nabil Ouerhani (Head of R&D, HE-Arc University of Applied Sciences) and Philippe Jacot (CTO, Acrotec Group)

The Acrotec Group and the Haute Ecole Arc Ingénierie (HE-Arc University of Applied Sciences) have signed a three-year partnership to work together on innovation projects, involving students in the relevant courses. This promising collaboration will stimulate R&D in the Neuchâtel, Bern and Jura regions, preparing future engineers for the major challenges of high-precision technologies.

The framework agreement will fund applied research projects in microtechnology, automation, electronics and software.

In concrete terms, Acrotec will allocate an annual sum of CHF 80,000 to HE-Arc over three years. This budget will be used to finance projects integrated into the Bachelor’s course. The projects will be selected by a bipartite steering committee composed of three representatives of the group and three teachers from the school.

This type of public-private partnership dedicated to innovation will also be able to secure additional federal funding thanks to the support of Innosuisse. Another advantage of this type of collaboration is that the partners enjoy special access to their respective networks at both industrial and academic levels.
