Reinterpreted in 2021 with a versatile fifth generation, the collection continues, year after year, to express its savoir-faire through design, plays on materials as well as a keen understanding of its times.
Immediately recognisable with its 12-sided bezel, the timepiece features pure, taut lines and is available for the first time in three 39mm Baumatic versions, proving once again that it has never ceased to reinvent itself. The Riviera has made its way through 50 years without missing a beat. Inspired by the carefree lifestyle of the French Riviera, this is the watch of casual elegance, symbolising an easy-going view of refined watchmaking. It was first developed in 1973 and has adapted to every era, while staying true to its special style.
The three new stainless steel versions of the Riviera are powered by the Baumatic Manufacture movement boasting tried and tested performance since its launch in 2017: a five-day power reserve, -4/+6 seconds precision and anti-magnetism up to 1,500 Gauss. Baume & Mercier is now offering a full eight-year warranty on models equipped with these movements, thereby testifying to their extreme reliability.
