Bulgari Swiss Genius Innovative Award

After launching the Swiss Genius Innovative Award last February, Bulgari has announced the winner of this competition dedicated to young students and focused on innovation in corporate social responsibility.

This first edition, organised in partnership with Luxury Tribune and the Swiss Center for Luxury Research, rewarded a trio of women from the Università della Svizzera Italiana for their Corporate Social Revolution project. The award ceremony was held on 4 July at the Royal Savoy Hotel in Lausanne.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is core to Bulgari’s development strategy and plays a key role in the Italian company’s daily activities. Aware of the importance of this theme, Bulgari wanted to give a voice to young people, the leaders of tomorrow, who were asked to express themselves on the question: how can the luxury sector still innovate in terms of CSR?

This national competition was open to students from a number of Swiss universities and colleges: the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne, HEC Lausanne, the University of St. Gallen, the Zurich University of Applied Scien ces and the Università della Svizzera Italiana. The project was structured around six themes proposed at the beginning of the programme: supply chain/procurement, sustainability, products (or related), brand image and communication, human resources and philanthropy. It involved presenting an innovative solution to the brand through trailblazing development and design with a Corporate Social Responsibility focus.

The jury included Frank Bodin, founder of bodin.consulting and President of ADC Switzerland, Cristina d’Agostino, Editor-in-Chief of Luxury Tribune, Felicitas Morhart, founder of the Swiss Center for Luxury Research, Eleonora Rizzuto, CSR Director Bulgari Group and LVMH Italia, and Jelena Tasic, Managing Director of the Lifestyle-Tech Competence Center.

The winning trio will be invited to Bulgari’s headquarters in Rome to present their project to the global CSR team. In addition, all students shortlisted in the competition will have the opportunity to apply for a three-month paid internship with the CSR team in Rome.
