Tenth watchmaking heritage biennial

The Biennale du patrimoine horloger (BPH – watchmaking heritage biennial) and its exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of the watchmaking world will be held for the tenth time this year (November 4th to 7th).

Building on the momentum of the last two events, the BPH 2021 intends to offer a special, expanded program to mark this anniversary year, but also to appropriately celebrate the December 2020 inclusion of craftsmanship of mechanical watchmaking and art mechanics on the UNESCO list of the intangible cultural heritage. As a new feature of this year’s event, the towns of Le Locle and La Chaux-de-Fonds will be joined by Saint-Imier and its Vallon, who have been specially invited.

The marriage between the BPH and the Journée Internationale du Marketing Horloger (JIMH – International Watch Marketing Day) will be celebrated in style on November 4th with a special edition of the JIMH, open to the public and free of charge, in the spirit of the Biennial. Other highlights will be the gala evening on November 5th at the Théâtre de l’Heure Bleue, and the 45th Swiss Watch Exchange, which will take place on November 7th at the Musée International d’Horlogerie (MIH).
