Despite the cancellation of the 2020 edition of EPHJ due to the pandemic, the traditional Exhibitors Grand Prix was able to go ahead as normal thanks to the dozens of innovations received by the jury for this 2020 edition.
The selection process led to the selection of five entries – Fischer Connectors SA, Norimat, Meyrat SA, Tornos SA and H2i – and these finalists were then submitted to the exhibitors’ vote.
As a result of ballots cast by high-precision professionals, the Accuracy Motion from the Neuchâtel-based company H2i was declared the winner: a well-deserved success that rewards real technological progress in testing and adjusting the chronometric precision of mechanical watch movements. This device revolutionises the sector by offering the possibility of performing tests in 32,400 watch spatial positions, compared with the previous limit of just six positions. Through direct adjustment with an inertial and strain wave gearing unit, the product bears closer ties to aerospace technology than to standard industry.
“We are very happy with this recognition from our peers,” said Jean-Charles Rousset and Emmanuel Baudet, co-directors of H2i. “We have worked tirelessly with the Acrotec Group R&D team at our shared premises in Cortaillod to push the technological limits of acoustic measurement for watches. This product enables manufacturers to put in place test and control measurements with optimal chronometric quality for their watches before marketing.”
