De Bethune presents the Dream Watch 6

De Bethune presents the Dream Watch 6, a table clock designed in close collaboration with the Swiss artist Jörg Hysek.

With this creation, the brand yet again sought to depict the sky in a more meaningful, more contemporary manner. The initial idea is simple: to transpose the De Bethune sky to a clock and in doing so make optimal of the more spacious dimensions in order to express and indeed transcend it.

More space, more depth: the night sky of De Bethune becomes even more magical. The more generous space leaves scope for a more ample view of the starlit heavens, the moon appears in a larger size, while the two hours and minutes spheres feature a play on volume. Together, they contribute to providing an aesthetically appealing vision of the planets, the sky and the cosmos.

The 180-component hand-wound mechanical movement 1318-010, adapted to the design and equipped with a constant force escapement, displays the hour, minute and moon phase functions with an accuracy of 5.7 seconds in a lunar month, or 1 day every 1,225 years, which corresponds to an accuracy 457 times higher than conventional moon phases – an improvement by a factor of ten compared to the De Bethune standard.

The use of titanium, a vibrant shade of blue, a polished bezel that distinctly clarifies time read-off, the view inside the mechanism through the lower part of the model... The watch brand’s signature characteristics are now united in this artistic mechanical feat.
